Since November 2021, SUM scholarships have supported 350+ students from IDP camps and ethnic communities to continue their studies.

About this programme

The Scholarship Programme removes financial barriers for students in some of Myanmar's hardest-hit communities. Working through partner organisations, it identifies and supports promising learners so that hardship never has to end an education.

Highlights

  • Awards are decided by the Scholarship Committee, the Schools, and partner organisations using fair, non-discriminatory criteria.
  • Special consideration is given to CDM students and learners from marginalised communities.
